Attention author Some more source material NZ Herald around 1986 and information about Asmai and some insight into the PO blockading any completion. ( ie one year wait for dial up phone lines!) Asmail built an internationally connected email service out of a bungalow in Grey Lynn (NZ's first email service) Asmail got a letter from Jonathan Hunt Postmaster General stating the email was illegal and must cease forthwith! After a pleasant lunch with JH he withdrew the PO opposition to email. see [1]
